As any business grows, it hits a point we call the Growth Knot (™); this typically is around 10+ employees and $2m in turnover (although sometimes sooner); at this point, the owner is struggling to manage both being “on the tools” as well as the requirements of management (HR, Accounts, Sales) at the same time they are not yet ready for dedicated managers in each of these rolls. This has a substantial impact not just on the business but often pushes into the personal life of the business owners, demanding nights and weekends to keep up.
Taking a whole of business approach across our 5 areas of focus (Direction & Strategy, Product, People, Systems & Processes and Financial & Risk) our Ecosystem program guides you through the Growth Knot.
For businesses that have not yet reached the Growth Knot, we offer Ecosystem Growth + tailored solutions to grow your business sustainably.
The Ecosystem Program
Sitting at the centre of our service offering, the Ecosystem Program centres on our belief that a top to bottom, whole-of-business approach is the key to success. We start by carrying out an in-depth analysis of your business; this goes beyond the financial data and includes customer analysis as well business owner and employee surveys and discussions. Having completed the analysis we assess the areas to focus on improving.
A Strategic Plan
Working with you, we develop a roadmap for the next 3 years; prioritising action items and projects; we know it is best to work on a planned approach rather than make big changes that will likely be unsuccessful and potentially damaging to your business.
Guidance and Implementation
Throughout the engagement, we are regularly meeting with you (generally every 4 – 6 weeks) to both guide you in project implementation as well as monitor ongoing business performance ensuring you take the time to work on your business and not just in it.
Continuous Improvement & Quantifying Results
To ensure we are making the progress we have set out to do we undertake an annual review, looking at the metrics and items first identified as areas of improvement. The annual review also serves as a good time to review the overall plan and re-prioritise projects as required.
